Raku is a very difficult technique the piece is taken out of the kiln whilst very hot and dropped into a bed of wood shavings and sawdust, the crazed finish is determined by experience and timing, but every piece is different.
The size of the scratching puffin is 12cm high (4.75 inches), this might vary due to the handmade process.
