The wooded cliffs that meet the sea at the western end of Oxwich Bay are tinged with the reds and browns of autumn. The beautiful church of St Iltyds is visible through the trees, and Oxwich Bay Hotel overlooks the scene. The pale sea and sky speak of the crispness of the air and the watery light associated with autumn. Though typically a very popular beach, autumn means the crowds have left, and this is a favourite time of year for Welsh artist R N Banning to visit.
A giclee print is one that has been produced using archival quality paper, in this case from St Cuthbert's Mill. Specialist inks are used which do not fade. Prints are hand-signed and numbered by the artist and sent out in a postal tube. Framed pieces are available at the gallery for collection and we also offer free local delivery.
